Every DojoMesh academy gets a public website the moment it is created, at https://your-academy.dojomesh.com/, with your live class schedule, trial bookings and signup form already wired in. This guide covers making that page yours, putting DojoMesh forms and schedules on a website you already have, and pointing your own domain name at it.
Your three options
Academies use DojoMesh for their web presence in one of three ways. They are not exclusive: many start with the first and add the third later.
- Use the built-in landing page. Free with every account. You edit the words, photos and colours from your dashboard and it updates itself from your schedule and plans. Good for academies with no website, or a site they would rather retire.
- Keep your own website and embed DojoMesh into it. Paste a signup form and a live schedule into the site you already have. Bookings and leads still land in your dashboard.
- Have DojoMesh build and run your website. An optional add-on for academies that would rather not touch a website at all. See the managed website below.
Whichever you choose, the third step in this guide, connecting your own domain, applies the same way.
Set up your landing page
Open Settings Landing Page. Everything on the page is edited here, one card per section, each with its own Save button. Use Preview Live Site at the top right to see the result as visitors do.
The sections, top to bottom:
- Hero: the headline, a line beneath it, a background photo with a darkness slider, and two buttons. The buttons can point anywhere, so one can open your trial offer and the other your schedule.
- About: a title, your story, and up to four feature cards with a photo each. Most academies use the cards for age groups or programs.
- Coaches: name, title, short bio and a portrait for each instructor.
- Testimonials and Gallery: quotes from members and parents, and a photo grid.
- Contact: address, phone, email and hours, and the map that is drawn from the address.
- Social, Typography and Custom CSS: your social links, the fonts, and a box for any extra styling if you have someone who writes CSS.
Two things on the page come from elsewhere and need no editing here. The schedule is your live timetable from Building your class schedule, and memberships are the plans you have marked Show on website.
The Section Visibility Controls card decides what appears at all. Turn a section off while you fill it in, and it vanishes from the public page without losing its content. The same card holds the switches for Book Trial Class buttons, the signup form, the store and special events. If your page shows an empty gallery or a "Meet Our Coaches" heading with nobody under it, this is the card to check.
Use landscape photos for the hero and feature cards and portraits for coaches. Phone photos are fine; DojoMesh resizes them. Upload photos of your own mats and students rather than stock images; visitors can tell.
Add DojoMesh to an existing website
If you already have a website you like, keep it. Two pages in your dashboard give you code to paste into it, and everything submitted still arrives in DojoMesh.
Settings Website Form gives you a complete signup form: name, contact details, emergency contact and the medical questions, styled plainly so it takes on your site's look. Paste it into any page. Submissions create a lead in your Leads page and email you, exactly as the landing page form does. The form carries its own spam protection.
Settings Schedule Embed Code gives you a snippet that shows your live timetable inside your own site. When you change a class in DojoMesh, the embedded schedule changes with it, so there is never a second copy to keep up to date.
Both snippets work on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix and plain HTML pages. On page builders, paste them into an "HTML" or "Embed" block rather than a text block.
The simplest integration is a link. Your landing page at https://your-academy.dojomesh.com/ already has the schedule, trial booking and signup on it, so a "Book a free class" button on your site can point straight there.
Connect your own domain
Your DojoMesh address always works, but you can put the landing page on your own domain, such as yourschool.com, at no extra cost. Open Settings Landing Page and use the Connect Your Own Domain card at the top.
Type your domain without www or https://, pick one of the two options, and click Send us your domain. We do the server side within one business day and email you when it is live.
Option A: let us manage it (easiest)
Make one change where you bought the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, Hover and so on): set the domain's nameservers to

That hands the domain's records to us. We create the website records, issue the SSL certificate so the padlock shows, and make any later changes for you. You never need to touch DNS again.
Changing nameservers moves all of the domain's records, including the ones that deliver your email. If you have addresses like info@yourschool.com on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or your old host, say so in the note on the card. We copy the mail records over first, so nothing bounces when you switch.
Option B: keep your own DNS
If you prefer to keep managing the domain yourself, add two records wherever its DNS lives, then send us the domain from the card so we can verify it and issue SSL.

Two records because most registrars will not allow a CNAME on the bare domain. If yours offers "ALIAS", "ANAME" or "CNAME flattening" for the root, you can point the root at your-academy.dojomesh.com instead of the A record.
What happens next
- The card shows In progress with your domain and the date you asked.
- DNS changes take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to reach everyone, so the domain may work for you before it works for a friend.
- We map the domain to your academy, issue the certificate, and email you. The card then shows Live.
- Your DojoMesh address keeps working alongside the new one, so old links and printed material do not break.
The managed website
For academies that want more than the landing page and would rather not maintain anything, DojoMesh designs and builds a full website and keeps it running, for an extra $25 a month on top of the platform. That includes hosting, updates, mobile and search optimisation, the signup form, trial booking, a member login link, your live schedule and contact forms, all connected to your DojoMesh account so a booking on the site is a lead in your dashboard within seconds.
To start, book a free setup session from the pricing page or reply to any DojoMesh email with a link to your Facebook page and, if you have one, your current site. We usually have a first draft to show you within a day or two, and the domain steps above apply exactly the same way.
Troubleshooting
My domain shows a "not mapped" or "domain not found" message.
DNS is pointing at us but we have not finished the server side yet. Check that the card shows In progress; if it does not, send the domain again. If it has been more than a business day, email us@dojomesh.com.
The site works at www.yourschool.com but not at yourschool.com, or the other way round.
One of the two records is missing or wrong. Under Option B, compare them against the table above. Under Option A, tell us and we will fix it; there is nothing for you to do.
The browser warns the connection is not private.
The certificate has not been issued yet. It is the last step and depends on DNS having reached our side. Give it a few hours after the card shows In progress. If the warning persists past a day, let us know.
My email stopped working after I changed nameservers.
Email records did not come across. Email us immediately from any other address with the name of your email provider and we will restore them, normally within the hour. Sending us the note beforehand avoids this.
A section is missing from my landing page.
Check Section Visibility Controls. A section that is switched off does not appear, and neither does one with nothing in it yet.
Common questions
Does connecting a domain cost extra?
No. Custom domains are included. You pay your registrar for the domain itself, as you do today.
Can I move my domain to you completely?
Option A is the practical version of that: the domain stays registered in your name, and we run its records. We do not take over ownership of domains.
Will the member portal be on my domain too?
Yes. Once the domain is live, yourschool.com/platform/user/ opens the member portal and yourschool.com/platform/ opens your admin dashboard, the same as on the DojoMesh address.
I have a domain but no website. Which option?
Set up the landing page in step 1, then connect the domain with Option A. That is the whole job, and the landing page carries your schedule, bookings and signup from day one.
Can I change the domain later?
Yes. Send the new one from the same card. We swap it over and keep the old one working for a while so nothing breaks.
